Amy graduated from the University of Surrey in 2012 with an LLB in Law with International Studies. Following this, she spent the next few years gaining experience as a Paralegal in various firms before applying for the Legal Practice Course in 2014.  Amy studied the LPC part time at De Montfort University in Leicester and graduated in 2016.

Amy qualified as a Solicitor on 1 March 2019 and joined Jamieson Alexander on 23 March 2020 to work on various litigation and leasehold enfranchisement matters.              

Before joining Jamieson Alexander, Amy trained and qualified in a regional law firm in Hampshire where she handled both Commercial and Residential property matters, various Litigation claims, Landlord and Tenant disputes and Leasehold Enfranchisement cases.  Due to Amy’s varied experience, she is able to advise on a wide range of subject matters with confidence.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and playing board games.

Approximately 80% Leasehold Extensions and Collective Enfranchisement, and 20% other property matters including litigation.

Complexity and types of issues you deal with?

Residential Lease Extensions, Collective Enfranchisement and Right to Manage:  Assisting clients extend their leases and purchase their freehold both within and outside of the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, including applications to the First Tier Tribunal, and Courts where necessary. Assisting leaseholders to acquire the right to manage their property.

Property Litigation: Acting for clients in relation to disputes with Residential Landlords/Tenants including evictions, building disputes, rent arrears and breach of lease issues.
