Laura started as a paralegal in Jamieson Alexander in 2018. From 2019, she undertook her training contract with the firm, training in Commercial and Residential Property, Family, Employment and Commercial departments.
Laura qualified as a solicitor on 1 July 2021. She now works a a Solicitor in our Employment team, whilst continuing to take an active role in our Litigation and Debt Recovery cases.
Laura studied Law at the University of Salford, Manchester, where she obtained a First Class LLB Hons degree in Law, then completed her LPC at BPP University London, whilst working part-time at the firm, in which she achieved a Distinction.

Non-contentious matters: including drafting contracts of employment, director’s service agreements, settlement agreements, and advising on terms of a contract or settlement agreement; general employment law advice; and
Contentious matters: such as bringing or defending a claim for unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal or discrimination in the Tribunal; or dealing with settlement of the same outside of the Court or Tribunal.
